Student leadership team and adult mentors will teach participants to sew face masks and to produce protective plastic face shields. We will also need translators to make instructional videos available in multiple languages. Whatever your skill set, please join us! We will find a way for you to contribute.
Students of any age will form local teams to create face masks (both sewn masks and plastic face shields) to donate to first responders and vulnerable populations, including but not limited to health care workers, hospital staff, delivery people, the homeless, the incarcerated, and others. The long-term goal is to foster a virtual community network that works in solidarity with those on the front lines of the current public health crisis. Project co-chairs: Alej Bustillo (TC 2011); Lise Pfeiffer Chapman (MBA 81)
