Description: 
Yale Day of Service inaugural book drive throughout the month of May for donations of new children’s books for all ages from infant to teens. 
 
Please drop off at two locations:
Main hospital - Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Office of Volunteer Engagement, 1st Floor, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR
 
New hospital - Arkansas Children’s Northwest, Office of Volunteer Engagement, 2601 Gene George Blvd., Springdale AR
 
When you drop off the books, the staff would like to take your photo and post on their Facebook page and other social media. Thank you for your donation.
 
At the main hospital in June and July, young teens (14-18) in the Junior Volunteers program will be reading your donated books to the children both in-patient and out-patient. Over 800 children are in out-patient per day. 
 
Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) is a pediatric hospital with a Level I trauma center in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is among the largest in the United States, serving children from birth to age 21. ACH is affiliated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and serves as a teaching hospital with the UAMS College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. ACH staff consists of more than 505 physicians, 200 residents, and 4,400 support staff. The hospital includes 356 licensed beds, and offers three intensive care units. The campus spans 36 city blocks and has a floor space of over 1,200,000 square feet.
