Lexington Community Farm, a project of Lexington Community Farm Coalition (also known as LexFarm), is a nonprofit working farm which works to connect the community to locally grown food and sustainable farming practices while preserving historic farmland.
Members of the Yale community will help with activities will likely include transplanting. Other possible activities are seeding, weeding, small construction projects, installing signage, general farm cleanup and interior/exterior painting. Farm needs depend on growing conditions and weather, so we’ll know more about the specific activities closer to the event date.
Wear work clothes and boots, bring work gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Plan on getting dirty!
We welcome volunteers age 14 years and older.
Parking: Due to concurrent seedling sale, please park on side streets or at the Arlington reservoir, further south on the same side of Lowell St (towards Arlington).
