You can take the “Jump” bus to the BVSD area and walk back to the Thorne Nature Experience office. There is also plenty of parking. If you drive or bike from Boulder, go east on Arapahoe Ave. to 63rd St. traffic light and turn right (south), ignoring the “No Outlet” signs. Follow the Yale and Thorne Nature signs to our building.

Members of the Yale community will help with landscape. trail, and beautification work at Thorne Nature Experience headquarters, Sombrero Marsh Environmental Education Center, located on the south end of the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) property. Families of all ages are welcome. Tools and work gloves will be provided, but bring your favorite dandelion-digger or special tool. Dress in layers in view of the weather. Bring a sack lunch and water. There will be a bird banding demonstration during the event and there is opportunity for a nature hike and nature photography before and after the work period.
No pets, as the area is a wildlife sanctuary.
