The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens opened in 2007 with a mission to inspire meaningful connections among people, plants and nature through horticulture, education and research. Comprising 295 acres of tidal shoreland, the Gardens are a major mid-coast Maine attraction, welcoming over 100,000 visitors each year.
Volunteers will prepare garden beds and trails for the coming season. Gardening experience is not a requirement. Bring garden gloves and wear appropriate shoes and clothing. CMBG will provide the tools.
We will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the visitor center and work until lunch. Lunch is on your own. Volunteers are welcome to wander the gardens afterwards.
