Natural Area Preservation (NAP) works to protect and restore Ann Arbor’s natural areas and to foster an environmental ethic among its citizens. Unique in the country, fully one third of NAP’s field work is done by volunteers, who help maintain biodiversity and restore damaged ecosystems.
Join us to hand-pull spring invasive plants (much like weeding a garden, but in the forest) while enjoying the rich spread of native wildflowers at Lakewood Nature Area. Explore the several ravines, streams, and hilly habitats.
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.
