Woods? In the gritty city? They’re there, and they need our help. Help us clean + beautify the urban forest with Ward 8 Woods, a grassroots (and tree roots!) nonprofit supporting beauty, ecological health, and public enjoyment of the 500-plus acres of forest in DC’s Ward 8 section.  Working with regular W8W crew members, we will remove trash and cut invasive vines.  If you like to be physically active, opt outside, and see immediate results of your work, you will enjoy this event while also enhancing access to nature for low-income DC residents.
We will be working in Shepherd Parkway, the long hillside greenway separating the Congress Heights and Bellevue neighborhoods from I-295 and Joint Base Anacostia Bolling below.
