Location: TBA
We are excited to announce that the Mid-Hudson Valley alumni from Yale and Vassar are teaming up to perform a clean up! Coordinated with the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Public Works, we will work together to pick up trash and debris, and generally beautify a green space/park within the city limits.
Participating in this special day are proud Yale parents, Betsy and John Bradley.  Betsy Bradley is the 11th president of Vassar College, located in Poughkeepsie. Bradley (Ph.D. ’96) comes to Vassar after more than two decades at Yale University, as the head of Branford College, Director of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy, and Faculty Director for the Global Health Leadership. Betsy & John bring the same passion for undergraduate & liberal arts education to Vassar, where John Bradley is the Executive Director of the Vassar College Urban Education Initiative. Come welcome Betsy and John to the Hudson Valley, connect with dedicated Yale and Vassar alumni, and help make a difference in Poughkeepsie!
Provided by the city: staff to direct us, garbage bags, gloves and yellow vests to wear to indicate we’re volunteering.
You should bring: your family, work/gardening gloves, sturdy shoes, (optional) rakes or trash grabbers. This site is family friendly.
Actual site TBD (depending on size of the group and what DPW has already addressed by May 12. The site will have plenty of parking, and directions will be provided prior to the event.
