The Quakertown Preserve is located on Croton Road in Pittstown, right across the street from the Ralph Anthony Automotive shop. The Preserve sign is somewhat hidden by the evergreen trees growing on the roadside, and you have to drive across some grass to get to the parking area. If the ground is wet parking will be roadside.

Description:

Hunterdon Land Trust will be hosting a hands-on educational hike on the Quakertown Preserve in Pittstown.

In addition to learning about the Emerald Ash Borer and how it’s killing ash trees in New Jersey, volunteers will assist with data collection and learn how to recognize an ash tree, measure its diameter, and look for signs of Emerald Ash Borer damage.

Please bring long pants, clippers, and binoculars if you have them.
