Getting there requires driving on a winding, narrow mountain road. There is plenty of parking. I will probably be able to organize car pooling. It might be helpful to bring gloves and a hat for working outside, but the staff is very organized and has basically everything we will need.
Bring a lunch and we will all sit outside together to enjoy the beautiful location.
Enchanted Hills Camp and Retreat serves blind children, teens, adults, deaf-blind, seniors, as well as families of the blind. It has over 300 acres on a rural mountain top. On May 11, we will help clean up the area and prepare the campsites for the classes and retreats for blind, deaf-blind, and those with low vision or multiple disabilities. We will have a chance to see how the area has recovered from the fire of October, 2017, and continue to help with restoration.
