Description:

Open Arms is the only nonprofit organization in Minnesota that cooks and delivers free meals specifically tailored to meet the nutrition needs of individuals living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, MS, and ALS. Deliveries of meals are no longer made on weekends so instead we will decorate the brown grocery bags clients receive their weekly meals in. There will be space at Open Arms set up to decorate with staff oversight. The friendly artwork is an important part of the meal delivery. No artistic skills necessary. All that is needed is the wish to brighten someone’s day with some fun drawings.

Children are welcome! Groups/families can split between this activity and kitchen tasks (see separate site entry) as long as there is adult coverage for children in both places. People cannot go back and forth but the activities are next to each other so can be done at the same time by different members of a group/family. Feel free to contact Rudy if you need clarification on this.
