The Yale Club of Hartford is excited to partner with residents, churches, community organizations and the City of Hartford for indoor and outdoor clean-up and beautification tasks at Parker Memorial Community Center (PMCC) and Brackett Park. This “Diamond In The Rough” in the heart of the North Hartford Promise Zone needs some buffing, spring cleaning, landscaping, and beautification to make it “shine” to welcome the community it serves! Service projects will be available on the inside of PMCC and outside in the adjacent Brackett Park.
The U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently designated PMCC as an Envision Center, and PMCC will be expanding from a recreation center to include being a hub for resources and referral to services that will meet the needs of the community. PMCC is currently in the midst of that transformation process.
