Description:
Join fellow Yalies and other community members for a springtime outdoor experience, volunteering  to plant 8,000+ native shrubs at the Town of Durham’s Thompson Forest conservation area in Durham, NH. Newly protected by the town, this site offers nature trails, public access to the Wild and Scenic Lamprey River, and a field that is being restored as native habitat for endangered New England cottontails, wild turkey, songbirds, butterflies, and wild bumblebees.

Volunteers of all ages, including families, are welcome. Come for the morning only or stay until 3pm. No experience is necessary, and we will provide tools and instruction.

What to Bring: Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and dress appropriately for the weather. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. Please bring a re-fillable water bottle. We will provide snacks, water, and work gloves. If you plan to join us for a full day, please pack a lunch.
