Ambassador Bisa Williams ’76, US Department of State and a 2016 Champion, Yale Day of Service

Ambassador Bisa Williams retired from the Senior Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State with the rank of Minister Counselor. She held various senior postings, including Coordinator for Cuban Affairs, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Niger, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for African Affairs. She is currently serving as one of the inaugural Champions of Service for the Yale Day of Service 2016, and here’s why.
