#9 Xiangshan W. Street, Nanshan, Shenzhen
In the past, Yale Club of South China has organized several meaningful events for Yale Day of Service, such as cleaning up garbage in the public areas, accompanying autistic children to paint from life, etc. This year’s Yale Day of Service on May 13, we will work together with “Shahe Disabled Persons’ Federation” and “Shahe Professional Recovery Center” to co-organize a social event that teaches the disabled how to make a micro landschaft. Our alumni will collaborate with those physically challenged individuals on a one-on-one basis.
We all know that people with disability usually have a small social circle because of their physical condition. This time, we will utilize micro landschafts as a friendly tie, letting the disables to work on their handcrafts under a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. We will work closely with them as their partners, providing them necessary supports during the whole process and a new experience of interaction. Last but not least, we will purchase all the handcraft materials, and donate the final product as a present.
