We are very excited to announce that we’ve partnered up with Heart To Heart Shanghai. H2H is a non-profit organization begun in 2003 that provides support to children who are undergoing heart surgery. The organization has also begun to develop school libraries in rural China.
Due to their hours and limited staff, they were not able to accommodate us for a visit to their hospital sites; however, they’ve made clear their great need for donated goods. Heart To Heart can make good use of the following items:
- gently used/ new toys
- children’s books
- clothing for all ages
- toiletries for families staying in the hospital with their children (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
Here is what we need:
In the two weeks between now and May 13th, involve your circle of friends in a small drive to collect any of the above items in whatever quantities possible.
On Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 am please join us at 818 Nanjing West Road (17th floor) to help us assemble all items collected. We were also informed that the children at the hospital like homemade hats and blankets. On Saturday, as an activity, we’d like to knit/crochet hats for the children, and if you don’t know how, we will teach you. Light refreshments will be provided.
