San Antonio: Community Farm at Mission San Juan with the San Antonio Food Bank

Description: 
Volunteers will assist the San Antonio Food Bank’s Community Garden Program at Mission San Juan Capistrano, a U.S. National Historical Park which was also recently designated a World Heritage Site.
 
The work may consist of working in the demonstration garden, shaping beds, weeding, and transplanting. Volunteers may also aid in prep work for the orchard.
 
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Our session will start promptly at 9 am with a mandatory orientation & project training. 
 
This is an outdoor activity. Please be prepared with closed toe shoes, sun screen, hats, and sunglasses. To protect your legs, pants are required to protect from insects. Water is provided.
 
Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
 
Required: closed toe shoes and long pants. Please bring only what you will need to keep with you as there is no storage for valuables. The San Antonio Food Bank Community Garden is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost or stolen.
