Project Lemonade is located on the second floor next to The Children’s Place. Free parking abounds at the Lloyd Center Mall. It is also convenient for those who use public transportation.

This YDS event supports the non-profit Project Lemonade, which provides foster youth with an annual free shopping event. Every August, foster youth visit Project Lemonade’s store and “shop” for back to school clothing, shoes, and accessories. Since Project Lemonade was created in 2012, the Yale Club of Oregon and SW Washington has assisted with prepping for its summer opening.
Yale volunteers come with friends, family, or solo to sort clothing, set up rounders, tag inventory, and assist with whatever chores the store manager needs done that day. It’s a fun, social event. Snacks are provided, and in recent years, after the second shift volunteers go out for dinner nearby.
This event is indoors. Casual clothing is recommended. Work is not strenuous. If you’re bringing children please advise the coordinator ahead of time and age-appropriate tasks will be arranged.
There will be two shifts on May 6, 2017: 2-3:30pm and 3:30-5pm.
