Join Partners For World Health (PWH) for a day of sorting and organizing medical supplies that will be sent to developing countries or used for medical missions.  PWH collects unused medical supplies from hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices as well as linens from hotels throughout New England.  Supplies are also gathered by several college chapters: Tufts, University of New England, University of Vermont, and more.  Once sorted, supplies are sent via a 40’ container to countries such as Syria, Pakistan, Uganda, Senegal, and Bangladesh to name a few.  PWH also helps local communities such as Preble Street Resource Center, churches, and other non-profits.  This reduces the landfill in communities while providing much needed medical supplies to the countries that are lacking basic supplies.
Volunteers will attend an orientation to learn more about PWH, its mission, and how these supplies will help those less fortunate in developing countries.  Once the orientation is completed, groups will be set up to work on different areas of the sorting process.
Snacks for breaks will be provided. If you can stay for the full day (we have the option of working until 3:30 pm), please bring a bagged lunch.
