Yale Club of Switzerland
Saturday, June 17, 2017; Time TBD
Various grocery stores throughout Geneva
To participate in the global Yale Day of Service 2017, the Yale Club of Switzerland is partnering with Serve the City Geneva to help collect food donations for Fondation Partage, the main food bank in the canton of Geneva that supplies 53 charities and social services. While the “official” Yale Day of Service is May 13, our event will take place on Saturday, June 17, which is the “Samedi de Partage” in which food is collected from shoppers at participating grocery stores in the Geneva area (Coop, Migros, etc).
Any Yale people, and family members, are welcome to take part. Teams will be assigned to individual stores and will hand out donation bags to shoppers and collect the filled bags. Exact times and locations will be determined once we have a better sense of numbers but expect that it will involve 3 or 4 hours of your time. Serve the City needs to know our number of participants as soon as possible so please email Nick Mansfield at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, May 12 if you are interested in participating. Further details will be sent out to those interested in the next several weeks.
