Description:
Established in 1980, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in our 34 county service area for over 30 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through 6 branches in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington.

We will do whatever they need: sorting, salvaging, filling meal bags, etc. It is different each time and this is a great volunteer activity.  We can work in groups, so socializing is possible, and it is always fun.  Our group has enjoyed it so much that we now do this twice a year (or more).
