The Lincoln Park Community Shelter (LPCS) is a comprehensive social service agency serving adult men and women who are experiencing homelessness. Located in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, LPCS has been providing shelter and other basic needs to our community since 1985. Today, LPCS provides interim housing, meals, and a focused array of social services to more than 400 people each year.
In this 4 hour service project, you will have the opportunity to do one or more of the following: help prepare lunch for a group of 25 Shelter guests; help create care packages for guests who have recently graduated from the program and who are now living independently; do a light facilities project (Cleaning, reorganizing storage, or clean-up); and/or help run a Bingo game.) The guests are quite engaged and will be greatly appreciative of your help.
