Join the YaleBoston Team to help with this year’s NAMI Massachusetts Walk!
Each year, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Massachusetts Chapter does a 5K walk in Brighton to raise money for various programs (including education classes, support groups, hotlines, etc). This year’s 14th annual walk is on Saturday, May 13th, 2017, fortuitously on the Yale Day of Service!
NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the United States and advocates for increasing access to mental health services, raising awareness to decrease stigma, and building communities of support for those touched by mental illness.  See for more details.
This will be our fourth year volunteering with this event. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, guiding during the walk itself, clean up, and loose ends as needed. Some volunteers like to come for just a few hours, some stay the whole morning – the NAMI volunteer committee would love whatever you are able to give!
This event is family-friendly. If you are interested in an early shift of volunteering, they sometimes have needs starting around 6:30/7AM.
