Anchorage: Renewable Energy Alaska Projects (REAP)

Sponsoring Club:
Yale Club of Alaska
Weekdays Monday, May 5 thru Friday, May 12; details below
308 G Street, Suite 225
Anchorage, AK 99501
REAP offices are located on second floor. Parking is on-street, metered. Downtown parking suggestions will follow.
REAP is a 501c3 non-profit agency whose mission is public education and promotion regarding energy efficiency, alternative energy sources (solar/wind/geothermal/tidal) and their development throughout Alaska.
This project may not provide Yalie camaraderie (unless you volunteer in pairs), but will be a huge assist to the agency.
Volunteers should have basic computer/keyboard skills and know MsWord and MsExcel. This project will consist of data entry on one of REAP’s office computers.
There are 20 half-day shifts during a 2 week period:
  • Monday, May 8 thru Friday, May 12
  • Monday, May 15 thru Friday, May 19
Volunteers will be asked to work individual morning or afternoon shifts (9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm) on weekdays during that period, under direction of Deputy Director Piper Wilder.
In addition to registering on the YDoS web site, for scheduling purposes volunteers are requested to respond directly to Bob Mitchell, Site Coordinator, listing all times/dates you are available during that two week period. (If you could bring your own laptop, please let Bob know.)
An assignment schedule will be issued on or before Friday April 28;  later registrations directly to the Site Coordinator might be accommodated.
Refreshments will be provided on site.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Bob Mitchell @ 907-274-4459.
